The man was sad.
He had lost his sense of self…
His identity.
You could see it in the way he held his body; he was slumped, curved, crooked. The weight of LIFE had crippled his posture, although, it wouldn’t be noticeable to anyone. Nobody would look at this man any differently to another man because most men are slumped, curved and crooked. Most men have physically crumpled under the weight of LIFE’s pressure.
Like trees in a forest, most men have twisted to compensate for a lack of light, sustenance or competition from other, straighter trees. Very few men in our modern world stand upright, tall, confidently in the forest of society. Most men have buckled under the weight of mistakes, regret, poor decision making and consequently, like most trees in the forest, they are bent and broken, hunched over, looking down rather than up at the light.
