OVERSOUL

A boy walked the streets.
Like most kids in the hood…
He had no father. The boy had never known the man who gave life to him; his father had been serving time in prison since the day he was born. He wasn’t a bad man…
He just never stood a chance
The hood turns good men to sin because most of the time, they have no choice. Without a chance, the only choice is crime to feed their families. Eventually, criminals learn that there is another way out of the hell they might find themselves in, but learning that usually comes later in life. After a stretch in the penitentiary, many men turn to a higher power; the boy’s father would find that path soon, but for now, the boy was growing up in the hood without guidance.
