SPIRIT’S STORY

He blew on burning sage.
Plumes of smoke filled the dome they were sitting in.
Two men, one native, and one seeking spiritual guidance, began to connect. The musky scent of the sage bridged the earth and the sky, acting as a conduit between worlds; as above, so below.
Once the smoke was thick and heavy, the native man stopped puffing on the smouldering sage and called for the hot rocks to be brought in. Another native man then entered, carrying them in a thick, slightly damp cloth. He threw them into the central pit, watching them as they clattered in a heap of heat and steam. When he was happy with their position…
He promptly left the sweat lodge.
