WELL-DESERVED

It was the best ramen in town.
Men would travel from miles around to eat it: fat men, skinny men, muscular men.
Men of all shapes and sizes would visit the ramen shop to the owner’s delight. He worked day and night to create the best ramen dishes he could imagine. He had mastered recipes passed from one generation to the next, whilst adding a unique twist to each and every one. He had gone against the grain and modernised the recipes – despite backlash from his family – and it was clearly working because his ramen shop was full of grateful men.
Why men?
The ramen shop sat in the middle of a town that was surrounded by industry. The owner was savvy and set-up shop where steel workers, coal miners, textile manufacturers and lumberjacks worked. From the forests to the streets there was booming industry everywhere in this town, which created many hungry men; that’s why his ramen shop was full of them!
