LEFT BEHIND

I feel like I am being left behind.

I peer through the blinds of my living room window and watch the world go by.

Why can’t I move at that pace? Am I the only one in this place called earth that thinks that busyness is insane!

I tear myself away from the window pane and sit down to catch my breath. Watching everyone look so sure about themselves is a stressful activity. The problem is I witness the same thing on my TV, social media accounts and even my friends and family tell me how great their lives are; so it’s not just when I peer outside.

Why does everyone hide behind their busyness and fake bravado? I know that it’s all highlight reels and prideful spiels…
