NOT MY PROBLEM

A Shaolin monk left the safety of the monastery.

He was never worried about the world outside because even though he was small in stature, he was trained in the martial arts and was strong.

He had a long white beard and a bald head, up until the warrior braid that ran half way down his back. It was so long it reached his butt crack but he would never cut it. The braid acted as an antenna that connected him to the world beyond the veil.

The monk was travelling to the nearby village to make a sale of great importance to the monastery. They hadn’t received as many food donations this year so they needed to sell their donkey. It was the only way to buy enough rice to survive the winter to come.

The monk knew that this mission would not be an easy one. Many people had fallen on hard times and so the economy was bad. The village was sad with poverty so getting a good price for the sturdy donkey he had to sell…
