REAP MY SOW

The morning light of the sun’s rays bounced off the olive trees.

The land now known as Greece was beautiful this time of year.

Harvest was near and I was excited to get out into the field. After three years of waiting I was overjoyed to take the first yield of olives from the trees that we planted so long ago.

They had grown well in perfect conditions for farming. The elements had aligned and been rewarding for those of us who resided in the small village of Hellos.

This village and I crossed paths during my time in the military. I had travelled through here on a reconnaissance mission and fell in love with its rolling hills, empty fields and fertile land.
